Infrastructure will become scarce

Every wave of computing has rewarded the layer that became scarce. When compute was scarce, the mainframe vendors defined the era. When distribution was scarce, the platforms did. We believe the next scarcity is coordination: the infrastructure that lets many models, agents and applications work together reliably.

Model capability is improving quickly and, just as importantly, commoditising. Multiple providers now offer comparable frontier performance, and open models are closing the gap. When intelligence is abundant, the differentiated, defensible work shifts to everything around the model — how it is connected, coordinated, observed and trusted.

That is the layer we are building. Not another interface on top of a model, but the connective systems beneath many of them: communication, coordination, orchestration and observability. It is unglamorous, long-horizon work, and it is exactly the kind of work that defines an era once it is in place.

We are early, and we will describe what we build honestly as it matures. This note is a statement of direction, not a product announcement.
